Morgana AutoCreaser Pro 33A – Paper Creasing Machine

The AutoCreaser Pro 33A provides the complete solution to the problem of cracking that occurs when folding digitally printed output. It is equally effective in dealing with conventionally printed card, laminates or cross-grained stock.

Using the SmartScreen touch screen is simplicity itself. Key in the sheet length (popular sizes are pre-set), touch the fold type for the finished product (letter, gate etc) and press the green button. The AutoCreaser Pro 33A will automatically calculate where the creases need to be and set them accordingly. Any minor changes to the crease position can be made by touching an arrow in the relevant direction.

The AutoCreaser Pro 33 runs at 8,500 A4 sheets per hour, and 11,000 A5 sheets per hour. Now fitted with a NEW ‘QuickBlade’ creasing blade that can easily changed in a few seconds without needing any tools, making it our most productive creaser to date.

The optional perforation kit gives the ability to perforate along the direction of sheet travel, cross perforate and part cross perforate, widening the range of applications the AutoCreaser can produce, this includes vouchers and tear off tickets.

Morgana AutoCreaser Pro 385

The New AutoCreaser Pro 385 is an easy to use automatic paper creasing machine with a deep pile feeder for digital printers, which allows the user to employing a unique creasing rule that eliminates paper tearing and therefore cracking.

The AutoCreaser Pro 385 is equipped with the very latest in technology to enable automatic set up of jobs, including setting of all feeder functions, by selecting just a few simple parameters on the MorganaSmartScreen touch screen control.

The new deep pile feeder allows stacking of up to 17.72″ of paper to enable longer runs and is equipped with a SmartStep table drop for fast loading of shorter run jobs. Paper feeding is controlled by a new vacuum top feeding drum that can automatically change between a wide range of paper types and thickness with little operator intervention.

Morgana AutoCreaser Pro 50

The AutoCreaser Pro 50, made in the UK by Morgana, provides the complete solution to the problem of cracking that occurs when folding digitally printed output. It is equally effective in dealing with conventionally printed card, laminates or cross grained stock.

Traditional rotary scoring machines use circular blades that are in constant motion as the stock passes through them. This creates a ploughing action that actually cuts through the top fibres of the paper or card in order to create a score.

Inevitably this weakens the paper and encourages cracking. In contrast, the Morgana AutoCreaser Pro 50 employs a unique creasing rule and matrix as illustrated overleaf, that eliminates tearing and, therefore, cracking.

Any minor changes to the crease position can be made by touching an arrow in the relevant direction. The productivity of the AutoCreaser Pro 50 has been improved with a massive 30% increase in speed with no loss of accuracy. Now running at 8,500 8.5″ x 11″ sheets per hour, and an astonishing 11,000 6.5″ x 8.5″ sph this is our most productive creaser to date. The increased sheet size of 27.5″ x 19.6″ can be extended with an optional tray making sheet lengths of 35.4″ possible.

The AutoCreaser Pro 50 has the new Morgana PosiFeed feeding system. The drum stops as the vacuum pulls the sheet down before the drum starts to feed. This significant change will enable the feeder to be piled higher and feed the most difficult of stocks.

All settings and adjustments are made using the new SmartScreen and as only symbols are used, operation couldn’t be simpler. An alpha-numeric memory allows an unlimited number of jobs to be stored and named as you choose. This makes job recall much easier as you can use your own job name and numbers for storage.

The AutoFold Pro is an automatic folding machine designed specifically for the professional digital or litho printer who has the need to fold precreased sheets.

The AutoFold Pro can be aligned to any Morgana or other manufacturer’s creaser to give perfectly folded results on a wide range of both digitally or litho printed stocks.

Thousands of printers have benefited from installing a creaser to prevent cracking when folding digitally printed, heavy weight or cross-grained stocks. Folding was treated as a separate process and for many this was a manual task as traditional folding machines damaged the delicate surface of digital stocks.

It is a free standing folding unit designed for folding digital stocks using our patented flying knife technology which was developed to prevent the scuffing and marking on digital stocks that are caused by folding using conventional methods.

The AutoFold Pro is simply wheeled up to ANY manufacturer’s creaser and the height of its vacuum feed conveyor is adjusted to the exit height of the creaser.

Both machines are turned on and the pre-creased sheets from the creaser are delivered directly onto the AutoFold Pro feed conveyor; here they are accurately registered to the side-lay before being folded as programmed and delivered onto a motor driven shingling delivery system which will ensure consistent, high quality stacking.

Whilst it’s cost is little over half that of an AutoCreaser, it offers exactly the same creasing quality and accuracy. This is because it uses an identical matrix and rule action, with the same technology to control both the positioning of the creases, but also to give a completely consistent creasing depth. With the rule and matrix manufactured from high quality tooled steel we can guarantee this mechanism for life.

In instances where the crease has to be set to an image which is not correctly registered you can swing the rule/matrix mechanism to compensate. The speed at which the sheets are taken into the in-put rollers can also be adjusted.

The DigiCreaser is no slouch when it comes to productivity. All functions are fully automatic after feeding and the unit can operate at speeds up to 4,000 sheets per hour. Up to 9 creases can be achieved in one pass and the sophisticated controls enable jobs to be stored and retrieved for repeat work.

The class leading specification of the DigiCreaser includes a maximum sheet size of 24.8″ x 12.9″ and it will handle weights of stock up to 0.015″ (approx 150lb cover)* including laminated material.

The DigiCreaser has a Head-up display for greater ease of use. This is particularly intuitive as it provides the operator with a series of prompts which are actioned by a single controller. These include positioning of the creases, setting the speed of the machine, storing jobs and counting facility.

Standard features includes the same high quality perforating as the larger AutoCreasers. The perforating wheels are available with a variety of teeth to suit all applications.

Morgana DocuCrease 35/52

13.7795 inch and 20.4724 inch hand creaser designed for small volume applications, the Morgana DocuCrease is a hand operated machine, which has adjustable stops for multi creasing down the sheet.

Like the fully automated Morgana AutoCreaser, the DocuCrease has been designed to overcome the cracking problems encountered when trying to fold material from digital or litho based print engines.

The new digital machines often use toner, which will crack on the material, particularly if the grain is running in the wrong direction. The Morgana DocuCrease is the perfect low-cost solution to these problems.

The DocuCrease has two adjustable backstops for multiple creases on the same cover or for repeat jobs (additional backstops can be supplied). Fast, easy set-up with indicator scales showing the position of the creases.

This creasing action is a process proven to eliminate cracking of the most difficult materials.

Made in the UK, the ElectroCreaser is ideal for the smaller printer or inplant. A compact, table-top unit, it is fast to set up and simplicity itself to operate.

Like other Morgana products, it employs a blade and matrix action which, unlike scoring, will not cause any damage to the substrate, and will produce a superb crease on stocks up to 0.015″ (approx 150lb cover)* including laminated material.

Unlike scoring, which can damage card or paper, the Morgana blade and matrix method ensures a clean sharp fold without damage to the substrate. It provides 2 creasing widths as standard, 0.04″ and 0.06″ – with the ability to change from one to another in seconds. It also has a special “Super Speed” stop system, which greatly simplifies jobs that call for multiple creases.

The creasing matrix is electronically activated by a foot switch for increased accuracy and productivity.
