Morgana AutoFold Pro

The Morgana AutoFold Pro is an automatic folding machine designed specifically for the professional digital or litho printer who has the need to fold precreased sheets.

The AutoFold Pro can be aligned to any Morgana or other manufacturer’s creaser to give perfectly folded results on a wide range of both digitally or litho printed stocks.

Controlled by the same innovative 7″ SmartScreen panel as other machines in the Pro range, the AutoFold Pro is instructed how long the pre-creased sheet is and which fold to produce. All settings and adjustments are made using the New SmartScreen and as only symbols are used, operation couldn’t be simpler.

An alpha-numeric memory allows an unlimited number of jobs to be stored and named as you choose. This makes job recall much easier as you can use your own job names and numbers for storage.

Thousands of printers have benefited from installing a creaser to prevent cracking when folding digitally printed, heavy weight or cross-grained stocks. Folding was treated as a separate process and for many this was a manual task as traditional folding machines damaged the delicate surface of digital stocks.

It is a free standing folding unit designed for folding digital stocks using our patented flying knife technology which was developed to prevent the scuffing and marking on digital stocks that are caused by folding using conventional methods.

The AutoFold Pro is simply wheeled up to ANY manufacturer’s creaser and the height of its vacuum feed conveyor is adjusted to the exit height of the creaser.

Both machines are turned on and the pre-creased sheets from the creaser are delivered directly onto the AutoFold Pro feed conveyor; here they are accurately registered to the side-lay before being folded as programmed and delivered onto a motor driven shingling delivery system which will ensure consistent, high quality stacking.

Morgana DigiFold Pro

The Morgana Digifold Pro is the ideal product for folding heavier weight paper stock. Designed specifically for the professional digital or litho printer who has a need to crease and fold digitally printed, heavy weight or cross grained stock.

As a stand alone paper folding and creasing machine it is easy to use, and has been one of Morgana’s best selling products since it was first introduced in 2001.

Over 1000 units were sold before the 5000P model was introduced at Drupa 2008. Offering greatly increased speed the 5000P has already sold nearly 500 units in less than 2 years demonstrating the need for a fast, accurate creaser/folder.

Despite all the efforts of our competitors, DigiFold is still the market leader and the product of choice for most digital printing professionals.

As its name suggests the new DigiFold Pro incorporates the all new SmartScreen panel making it simpler to use and offering increased functionality for the user.

In addition to this significant feature improvement, we have once again used state of the art technology to increase its speed. The productivity of the DigiFold Pro has been increased by a very creditable 20% and will now crease and fold at 6000 sheets per hour while retaining the accuracy demanded by users of previous DigiFold models.

Morgana DigiFold Pro 385

The NEW Morgana DigFold Pro 385, high Speed Creaser Folder with fully automatic setup and deep pile feeder is the latest addition the the Morgana range of folder/creasers. The DigiFold Pro 385 is the latest, fourth generation of the DigiFold series, offering further levels of automation to meet today’s demanding applications. It is specifically designed for digital and litho printers who have a need to crease and fold digitally printed, heavy weight or cross grained stock.

The DigiFold Pro 385 is equipped with the very latest in technology to enable automatic set up of jobs, including setting of all feeder functions and fold roller settings, by selecting just a few simple parameters on the Morgana SmartScreen touch screen control. The new deep pile feeder allows stacking of up to 17.72″ of paper to enable longer runs and is equipped with a SmartStep table drop for fast loading of shorter run jobs.

Morgana DocuFold Pro

The Morgana DocuFold Pro is a fully automatic paper folding machine, ideal for folding litho or digital stock.

Equipped with the latest SmartScreen technology, it enables an operator with minimum training to carry out a variety of folds from an icon driven touch screen. An unlimited alpha numeric memory is available to store all standard and non standard jobs.

Key to the Morgana DocuFold Pro design criteria was a machine with a high degree of automation. Operation is therefore simplicity itself. Enter the sheet size and fold type on the DocuFold Pro SmartScreen and the machine automatically adjusts the fold plates and delivery rollers electronically.

The fold rollers will also compensate for most types of fold or paper weight without the need for adjustment, further enhancing the ease of use. Built-in anti-static brushes assist in the discharge of statically charged print material, one of the most troublesome problems faced by document finishers today.

To control curled paper, another potential difficulty, the pressure suction chamber which is built into the feed table, gently pulls down each sheet as it is being fed into the fold rollers.

Morgana Major Paper Folder

The Morgana Major Paper Folder has been designed to offer a wide range of ‘big machine’ features within a compact and easy to operate design. Changing from one size to another, or for different folds, can be accomplished in seconds. The Morgana Major incorporates counting and batching, with perforating and scoring as standard in the UK and optional elsewhere.

A number of unique features have been developed to ensure that the Morgana Major can handle output from digital processes, as well as litho printing. Like all Morgana products, the Major offers unmatched performance and value.

The fold rollers are extremely durable and have the ability to handle a wide variety of stock without adjustment. Not affected by paper dust, their unique composite material will positively grip high gloss papers or work from digital print engines.

The Dial-a-Fold plate settings enable all adjustments to be made without removing the covers. An LED display, accurate to 0.1mm, shows the fold plate position and allows easy and accurate repeat job settings.

A larger sheet size of 365mm width and 648mm length makes the Morgana Major even more flexible, capable of producing 6pp A4 documents. The machine speed is fully adjustable from 4500 to 27,500 sheets per hour, giving the operator complete control over the production of a wide range of stocks.

• The many different printing processes available today can affect the characteristics of paper, creating curled or easily marked material. At the same time run lengths can vary from short to very long. The Morgana Major can handle both.

When buying any equipment, running, maintenance costs and residual values are an important considerations. The Morgana Major has been designed to fulfill these criteria.

An example are the fold rollers. These are extremely durable and are located in a single patented pull-out cassette. When replacement is needed, non-skilled personnel can achieve replacement in less than five minutes.

The Major fold-plate has ‘dial-a-fold’ which enables all adjustments to be made without removing the covers. An LED display accurate to 0.1mm shows the fold plate position and allows easy and accurate repeat job settings.
