The past few years have seen greater numbers of print buyers incorporating nonporous substrates into project designs. To satisfy their customers' demands, printing companies want a product that dries quickly and does not present them with challenges during the finishing process.

Toyo Ink is constantly improving the formulations of its sheetfed ink systems for faster drying and reliable printing on difficult substrates. Toyo Ink America has two vegetable oil-based inks engineered for superior performance on nonabsorbent substrates.

Toyo's TSG Process Series and TSP 400 Process Series inks are high in solids and low in harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Printers that choose TSG and TSP 400 inks will enjoy greater latitude and flexibility when printing on vinyl, styrene, foil, film, synthetic paper and other nonporous substrates.

TSG and TSP 400 ensure excellent press stability and high-quality printing at fast press speeds. Performance enhancements include improved rub resistance, ink transfer and gloss, as well as minimum dot gain. Printed products, even those utilizing scuff-prone substrates, exit the press with a durable, long-lasting finish.

TSG is available in four process colors plus CT black for coating purposes. TSP 400 is available in four-color process sets. Opaque white, extender and Pantone colors are available for both TSG and TSP 400. Toyo Ink also offers waterless versions of TSG and TSP 400.
